Our commitment
Y2K Outfit Ideas is built so everyone can use it. We target WCAG 2.2 AA across the site and test every build with Lighthouse and axe-core before it ships.
What we do
- Keyboard-first: every interactive element — the quiz, the outfit builder, menus, modals and pin buttons — is reachable with the Tab key, with visible focus rings and no keyboard traps. Modals close with Escape.
- Screen readers: icon-only buttons have ARIA labels, live regions announce quiz results and saved looks, and every page uses one h1 with a logical heading order.
- Text & contrast: body text is 16px+ with generous line height and meets WCAG AA contrast (4.5:1) against every background.
- Reduced motion & contrast: we honor
prefers-reduced-motionandprefers-contrastsettings. - No dark patterns: no flashing content, no auto-playing media, no content hidden behind overlays.
- Images: every image has alt text; purely decorative images use empty alt.
Known limitations
Third-party ad content (when ads are enabled) is outside our control and may not meet the same standard. Ads never block site content, and the site is fully readable with JavaScript disabled.
